Committed to Conservation:  Miller Woods at 50 Years

Join the Friends of Miller Woods as they celebrate 50 years since the acquisition of the woods!  Several local conservation groups will share their success stories.  Co-sponsored by Bosch Community Fund.

Tuesday, April 17, 7 p.m.

Dr. John Hartig  former manager of the Detroit International Wildlife Refuge, and author of Bringing Conservation to Cities, will speak on the Humburg Marsh and the role of local citizens in its success.

Taylor Myatt from the SE Michigan Land Conservancy will discuss some of their most significant land protection projects, including 17 publicly accessible nature preserves.  He will highlight the Superior Greenway located just outside of Plymouth, a great place to explore some of Michigan’s natural wonders.
