The West Middle School Robotics Club is a dedicated group of 6th, 7th and 8th graders from the Plymouth Canton Community School District. The 2017 – 2018 school year marks the second year of the Robotics Club. Our club consists of two student-led teams, Tech Dogs and Lockjaw, which currently have 11 members each. We compete in the FIRST Robotics First Tech Challenge, the FTC. During the FTC season, both teams design, build and program a robot to compete in FTC events. The students in the West Middle School Robotics Club have a strong desire to learn more about Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) concepts and to gain experience in teamwork, public speaking, project planning and marketing. Our Club is also strongly involved in our community with many service and outreach programs during the season.
There are many costs associated with developing and operating the robots. The club incurs costs associated with purchasing parts, tools, motors, robotics kits, t-shirts, banners, marketing supplies and paying registration fees for competitions. These expenses add up quick!
We hope you will consider making a tax-deductible donation to the West Middle School Robotics Club. Thank you for your support!
