Linda Brown Mace
January 30, 1943 - December 13, 2020

Linda Brown Mace's life was about kindness, selflessness and love. Family came first for Linda and she spoiled them at every opportunity. She was a devoted daughter, mother to David and Tim, wife to Del, sister to Judy and Jerry and a friend to many. Although she lost Tim at age 14, her love for children played out in many areas of her life.

Linda lived her dream of becoming a teacher and following in the footsteps of her great grandmother, great aunt, grandmother and mother. In Linda's 40 years of teaching, she spent 37 years with the Plymouth Canton Community Schools and 36 of those 37 years were at Field Elementary school. She had an incredible talent for being able to teach children to read which contributed to the success of many students throughout the years. She also contributed to their growth and success by meeting their other needs including providing supplies, money for field trips and clothing, when needed. This extended into summer school and private tutoring.

Linda's generosity was not limited to her students. An avid crafter, she lavished friends, family and sometimes even strangers who admired her talents with gifts of her creative arts.

Linda's life was an example of strong Christian faith and she lived her beliefs. She was an active member of her church and taught Sunday school for many years.

While she is gone, her kindness lives on in the hearts of many.
